My wife dropped the 15-1994 today and now the backlight is not working. How do I troubleshoot/fix it? Thanks!

The transformer has probably either become disconnected or broken. Open up the remote and you can't miss it, it's the largest component on the board. You can get a replacement, if needed, from Hovis Direct.

Doh! The image of 1995/2117 was stuck in my head after reading totally unrelated thread of 1995 in a 2117 case...Mark Pierson wrote:Umm... Hal... there's no LCD on the 1994.mtakahar wrote:the LCD panel itself may have become loose.![]()
Perhaps you've been working too hard and need to take a break?
Right. Please ignore the "or the LCD panel itself" part.

What's the best way to open the cover? Thanks again!
