Looking for Humax T800 (Tivo Series 2) codes

Hello all,

I'm trying to program a remote for a friend in another town. He has sent me the model names for each piece of equipment, and one that I cannot find anywhere is the Humax T800. It is a Tivo Series 2 box.

I've read the sticky; here is my data:

1. Device: Humax T800
2. Type of device: PVR (Tivo Series 2)
3. Remote model: Flexible: have a 15-2117, URC-7800, or URC-6012 w/2K eeprom
4. JP1 user? yes
5. Still have original remote? no, at least not at my disposal (my friend still has it, but it would be difficult logistically)
6. Checked Yahoo file section? yes, no joy
7. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes, searched files section for Humax, most were DSS devices, no Tivo or PVRs

Has anyone out there encountered this beast? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps the Tivo2.txt upgrade would be a good starting point.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply. This would imply that all Tivo units, regardless of manufacturer, respond to the same IR codeset. Is that true? If so, great!

The ones that use the peanut remote, yes. Sony's and first model of toshiba Dvd/PVR combo don't use the same code. The newest toshiba Dvd recorder/tivo's now come with the peanut remote, and have joined Humex, ATT, Pioneer, Hughes, Philips, Samsung, RCA, and Tivo branded tivos as using the same remote codeset

I beleive the DVD recorders have added commands though.

But having him confirm that his Tivo responds to the regular Tivo code (ie, VCR/0618 in his 15-2117) will at least give us a starting point.
