I have a URC8811 and a JP1 cable and have done some simple stuff but I have run into a problem. I have searched and can't seem to see any post with the answer I need.
I have a TV that cycles through input devices, antA, antB, DTV, Input1 thru 3, and component1-3 by using an input up or down function.
I made a macro to cycle the TV to the correct input setting but the remote seems to send the commands too quickly so the TV ends up short of the destination input.
I tried putting additional commands in the macro to slow it down but quickly ran out of the 15 commands allowed in macros.
So I tried nesting with a phantom key. And that did not work. So I nested with a learning key with a macro and that did not seem to work either.
I guess this leads to three questions:
1-Is there a trick to calling a nested macro?
2-Is there a way to slow down a macro?
3-Is there a better way do accomplishing this?
Thanks for any suggestions

First things first, do you know for sure that your TV doesn't support discrete codes? Why don't you post the brand and model number of your TV in case one of us knows whether it supports discretes or not.
If it doesn't support discretes and you do need to add some delay to your macro, what you need to use is the "pause" special protocol. _________________ Rob

Sorry for the lack of information on the TV. It is a mitsubishi WS-65315 wide screen.
Also could you tell me a little more about the pause special protocol?
Thanks

You'll find it in the Special Protocols folder. _________________ Rob

There's also a generic pause protocol built into KM. Select it from the Protocol drop-down and check the Protocol Help sheet for details. _________________ Mark |
