Minor IR502 copy issue
Moderator: Moderators
OK, I created a dummy TV/1103 device, and now I can create/edit DSMs. I guess I'll just have to see if I have to delete it in order for the builtin one to work, and then recreate it when if I want to create/edit another one. If I'm lucky the pseudo-device will work with the dummy TV/1103 in place.

I have no problem with that, it's just that 2 column heading is in the way a bit. Not all that important really.e34m5 wrote: I don't believe that button was created for anything more than copy and paste with out a particular application in mind..
Well, while I can build keymoves in IR as well as in ExtCalc, and while I can decode them one by one, ExtCalc offers me a whole picture instead. A dozen or more keymoves several weeks after coding them look totally confusingBesides why use ExtCalc when that functionality is in IR.
Being able to get a 'system' overview is a convenience I treasure.
Further, ExtCalc permits to edit (find;replace), rearrange and import back to IR. While I haven't used that feature yet, it will come handy soon.
As I mentioned earlier, the workaround is simple, so no big deal

I thought about it. I agree, in principle.
I suspect that how one uses the tools and which data is stable when, are a function of remote’s stage of development - already built to perfection vs under construction, amd whether one follows directions or not.
Thanks anyway
