Basic question: Macro on Device button (dvd/tv, etc..)

the discrete codes work!! happy day happy day

Vcr now pseudo-discrete also.. odd had to change setup codes

Its a Panny PV-9446, was using setup code 1062, where the EFC 016 did not work, changed to 0162, and EFC 016 now works as discrete on.

:) thanx for all your help, hopefully jp1 gets here soon, and i can start defining and nesting macros

VCR/1062, 1162, 1262, etc are all "combo" codes that do not accept advanced codes. These setup codes all combine VCR/0162 and VCR/0454 (and occassionally TV/0250 also). So it's totally normal to have to temporarily switch to TVR/0162 or 0454 to program an advanced code, then switch back to the main setup code.
