Where Do You Start

Post by Liam1611 »

Sorry to ask this question as I'm sure its been asked a million times before, but where do you start.
I own a URC-7562 One-For-All remote and a Force 1144s Remote(model number on the battery cover is listed as URC-39720) which is another UEI device and a home made JP1 connector.
The things I want/need to know is how do I first extract the remote commands from the Force remote for the satellite receiver and then copy them to the URC-7562 all buttons in the correct places. I can download the remote commands from the Force remote using IR.exe but don't know where to go from there. Now thats my first task, secondly I would also like to program the URC-7562 to work all my other equipment by upgrading the remote to operate everything with as many commands from my original remotes programmed in without running out of room.
My equipment is as follows:

Sherwood RVD-9090S AV Amp
Sony SLV-E720 VCR
Lecson DVD-1000 DVD Player
Kenwood DPF-210 CD Player
Force 1144s Satellite Receiver
Wharfdale 550s 28" TV

I have all the original remotes for my equipment but don't know where to start on the road to complete remote happiness.
The URC-7562 is already programmed with the basic functions for all of these including an upgrade for the DVD player from One For All but I just want to use the one remote and operate everything correctly.
If someone could kindly spend the time in pointing me in the right direction as to which software to use and any easy to follow user guides on how to use it all it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Liam
