|
|
Gear:
1) Radio Shack 8in1 Remote Control (15-2116)
2) Nokia Mediamaster Satellite Receiver (9800S)
3) Sagem Satellite Receiver (Xtra Digital-XD 300)
-------------------------------------------------
I should be grateful if someone could provide me with the 4-digit codes I require to get my remote control operating these two satellite receivers.
Thanks in advance. |

Hi crdshark,
I notice that you've posted this in the non-JP1 forum, so am I right in assuming that you do not have a JP1 cable? _________________ Rob

@ The Robman
I know nothing about re-programming remote controls and I don't own a JP1 cable.
@ gfb107
Thanks for the link. I found it informative.
I'd still appreciate if someone could help me with the 4-digit codes I need to get the two satellite receivers up and running.
Thanks in advance. |

The only other mention of Sagem in this forum is
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6240#6240
I don't know whether the Sagem device mentioned there uses the same commands as the one you want, nor whether the answer given there (SAT/1114) is correct. But both seem fairly likely, which is BAD NEWS for your purpose:
The 15-2116 does not include SAT/1114 nor any setup code even in the same family as those signals. So if that's what your Sagem device uses, then you need a JP1 cable to get your 15-2116 to handle it.
In any case, using a JP1 cable is well worth the minimal cost and far simpler than trying to search for obscure setup codes. |

4-digit code for Nokia MM9800S is SAT 1023
but it is not built in RS 15-2116 |

Is this Sagem thread related to the "(Sagem dv3) Casema Selector Box" thread at RC
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-discrete/thread.cgi?1778
(It's always strange when questions pop up at the same time both here and at RC for some brand that is almost never mentioned in either place).
The Sagem in that thread uses the setup code SAT/0817 or SAT/1016.
Those are also both missing from the 15-2116, so if that is your Sagem you need JP1. |
