"New" OARUSBO4G not working

Post by ronmon »

I have several OARUSBO4G remotes which work great. I recently purchased 4 “new” spares. When uploading my current RMIR files to the new remotes, they do not work – looks like the extender is not working. The remotes and packaging appear identical (except for the DATE CODE: 4441UE). Additionally, the signatures on the Raw Data tab of RMIR appear to be the same as the remotes that work (257604). Using RemoteMaster v2.94 build 14. Can you help?

The extender installation is a bit different for the OARUSB04G, in that it is done without using RMIR, and therefore isn't included in the RMIR image.

I would install the extender before uploading an image that uses the extender.

Thank you, it had been years since I started with a new remote like this. I tried the install procedure, with little success, then it occurred to me to just copy the .bin file from the old remote without going through RMIR – That Worked Great!

Thanks.
