How to assign learned codes

Post by wilked »

OK, I am trying to assign codes once they are learned and am meeting difficulties. I have read the documentation, but am still struggling.

I have learned codes for my Pioneer DVD player. I have uploaded the codes, and this is how they look:

#___Protocol_____Device_______OBC___HEX____EFC
1____Pioneer____163__________52_____66_____001
2____Pioneer____175__________52_____D3_____148

So my thinking is that I could go into RM, go to Functions, and enter the EFC, OBC, and HEX numbers, then copy past the resulting output into IR. When I try to enter these numbers into IR it will not allow the 3 numbers to be entered, changing my previous numbers as a new number is entered. I need some help here.

Thanks

What protocol are you selecting? I'm pretty sure you want the Pioneer DVD or DVD2 protocol.

Read the keymap-master-protocols.txt file that accompanies KM for a full description of the Pioneer protocol. You will undoubtedly discover that "Pioneer DVD" is the correct choice for you.
