Inteset extender

Post by unclemiltie »

All

as an FYI - I am in the process of building the JP1.3 common extender for the Inteset 422-1 (3565) remote. A forum member kindly had one sent to me from Amazon to allow me to debug.

This one appears to be different from the Inteset 422 but the same as the 422-2 (with the exception of button names) I'd still like to build one for the 422 but have no way to debug it (hint, hint!)

If you're interested in helping test the extender please PM me with your email and I'll put you on the list for when I get it going

I'm getting closer on the 422-1 extender (3565 signature) and sure would love to do the 422 (3494 signature) remote while I'm remembering how to build and debug these things! Anyone have one that they can part with?

This still an active project for you? Have you made any progress?

I've been horribly busy with all kinds of other things to figure out where the pause isn't working. The rest of the extender seems to be OK as far as I can tell.

I just got a 422-2, is there anyway you can share the extender you are working on for that one?

I've been horribly missing from doing this stuff. At some point I should just release the version that supports the -2. I never got my hands on a -1 but the code is "in there" to do it, it's just entirely untested.

Getting ready to release 3.04 with support for the 3565 remote.

If you want to give it a try in advance of release PM me with an email address and I'll send it along.

Still looking for a 3494 remote to use to debug or someone who is willing to risk bricking theirs.

I don't have an immediate need for this remote, but this is the first one that has looked reasonable to me. i've still got a supply of atlas 1056 black that i'm using. when i can't get those, the 422 looks worth a try!

thanks unclemiltie

I've got a couple of the 3565s that I bought years ago hoping they were internally the same as the Insignias. Now my Insignias are worn out and I need to put the 3565 into action. Any progress on the 3.04 extender?

Gak, I thought I had finished this and uploaded it.

i'm going to have to wind the Windows VM up and see where it stands. I'm pretty sure it's done.

Got it installed in my Inteset 422-1 last night. Working great! So much better to use the the URC-6440.

I primarily use the extender for faster macros, but also the key-sets for activity-like macros.

The only hiccup is that the DiscreteON and DiscreteOFF phantom buttons are keycode $80 and $C0, or shifted and x-shited $00, which RM doesn't show on the Layout panel. That's probably an oversight on my part many years ago.

If I find the time I might try to fix it.
