Hi,
I have the very same problem with a different device on the very same remote URC7556.
My Samsung blu ray player BD-C6900 isn't supported by the remote. OFA support tells me that the "DVD 0199" codes need to be added to the remote. I could send it in for the procedure.
Is there a beginners' manual out there that tells me how to do that myself? (I already have a JP1 cable.)
Thank you! |

Well, you should read the "Just How Easy Is It" section in the Wiki. It tells how to make sure you have the correct interface cable (you need a flash JP1.2/1.3 cable for the 7556) and how to install and use RMIR.
The you would download e.g. the upgrade file for the BD-C6800 from the File Section, and use RMIR to upload it to your remote. |

Don't know if it helps, but I found a match for the Samsung BD-C6900 on the Logitech Harmony Database. Recorded the respective IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files.

This is... awesome. Thanks a million, it works and you just saved me a few Euros.
Well, some buttons don't work (found the colour buttons missing, so far), but I can work that out myself.
Great, thanks again! |

You're welcome. Glad it worked out for you. Thanks for the feedback.
Btw, I just checked the colour buttons. They shouldn't be missing in the upgrade. They're programmed on the remote. Are you saying that they are non-functional? _________________ Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.) |

Oh, that was my mistake. Those colour buttons work just fine now that I removed my old DVD players' key moves. Now the remote works as it should.
So again, great work. You guys helped me a lot. |
