6 pin cable for JP1 interface

Post by madmalkav »

Is anyone selling one female-to-female 6 pin cable, or at least point me to how the thing is called in english to buy one online? Only part I miss to make my JP1 interface but can't find it locally.

Something like this 2x3 IDC cable (http://microcontrollershop.com/product_ ... ts_id=2256)?
Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.)

No, the proper name would be 2x3 IDC which is 2 rows of 3 pins. A 6 pin IDC would be a single row of 6 pins.

Here is an example of a 5 pin IDC (http://www.startech.com/Cables/USB-2.0/ ... USBINT5PIN)

Since shipping is usually much more than the part, I make mine by cutting off the end of an old IDE cable or gluing two CD audio cables back to back.
