Kameleon 8206 "Hidden keys"

When I press the Scroll key when in SAT mode on my Kameleon 8206 it goes into "PVR mode".
This illuminates a different set of keys then "Normal mode". PVR mode has a lot less keys then NORMAL mode, so I would like to re-use some of these keys (Like SUBT, PP, Audio, etc) that gets "dimmed out".
Any Ideas?

I don't have an 8206 but...
The previous Kameleon's (9960B00, 6960 and 9960B01) all checked the list of valid keys against the screen that was active. So, a keypress on a key that was not "lit" for that screen would generate a key interrupt but then would not be shown as active for the current screen and would be ignored.
The only solution that could help you is to build an upgrade for your PVR that uses another device type (say DVD, on the above Kameleon's those screens had nearly all of the keys lit)

Thanks unclemiltie. Interesting reply. Makes me wonder if I can't build an upgrade for the SAT function. I'm using all the functions except CD (which only has a few keys). Any more ideas anyone?

BTW, you can build your upgrade for another device type (say DVD) and stil put that device on the PVR button so the "users" of your remote won't know any better.
The RDF has a list of which keys are valid on which "device type", but you'll also see those listed in RM when you build upgrades. (think anything that has to have a keymove to put a key on it is likely to be something that is not lit or valid for the current screen, in general this was true on the 9960)
good luck

You don't have hidden devices on a 6960 and 9960. Only keys for that device type programed show up, so pressing in a spot where a key is not lit does no good. So the only real use for a keymove is to map a function to a shift(setup)-key? Right?
