I just got a 3412 pvr yesterday. The remote has the jp1 connectors but is is not compatible. There are several codes that will set up the remote.
I.E. 993-volume lock, 993, 973, 992, etc. I have found using 994 (undocumented) that I can remap keys to any key of the same device using the efc code. Does anybody know of any other codes that are undocumented? I would like to program a couple of macros -like on the ALL-ON button that is a macro button. Thanks for the info, Doug

I'm not sure anybody has listed all of the 3-digit "magic" codes there are. Unfortunately, only certain subsets of all of them work on certain remotes, and I don't know that there is any consistency as to which sets are available on which remotes. The only place I know of these codes is in
Rob's individual tailored manuals, so you could go scouring through them and test out each one.
e.g. the RS 15-1994 and URC-7800 manuals describe, amongst others:
991 - Code Search
990 - Blink Back
992 - Redefine Device Key
993 - Volume Punch through
970 - Activate Sleep Key
995 - Program macro
996 - Set up Favorite Channel Scan
994 - KeyMove
975 - Learn
976 - Delete Learn
980 - Ops Reset
981 - Manufacturer's Reset
973/974 - Clear "Scrambled Remote"
There may be more, but those I found just quickly.

When looking for help, you should know that the DCT3412 is a Motorola box, not a Comcast box.
I would think that codes for the 6412 might work for the 3412. From
Motorola DCT6412 Set Top Box.rmdu:

He's looking for 9xx programming codes (eg, 994 - keymover, 995 - macro, etc) not EFCs.

Anyways the 6412 remote only takes 5 digit advanced codes.
