Newbie from Italy - URC8910 and Sky - Need Suggest

Hello
thank you to all people that make me discovered power of JP1
Sorry if i will do some mistake in english writing
I've bought an URC-8910, JP1 cable, install RM V1.33 and begin to program the remote
I've a few problem, hoping someone can help me
I try to use Sky+ .rdmu files, but they seems don't work on my SkyBox, so I begin to learn signals from original remote, download with IR.exe, copied into RM creating a new device, copy and paste output, upgrade protocol ($0020) and upload them into 8910, after deleting all learned signals.
For some reason this procedure doesn't work, i don't have any error, simply seems that remote doesn't trasmit IR signals (IR led doesn't blink)
I've read many threads about, but i can't find my mistakes
Another question:
I've downloaded .txt files for Toshiba DVD Recorders (i've a RD-XS32), but RM doesn't import it (other .txt files are imported fine), no errors.
Someone can help me?
Thank you in advance
Regards
Paolo

The device number inside each IR signal is different beteen Sky+ and Sky. Do you know which your SkyBox uses?

We can't guess where the error is from that description. It is easier for us to see where the error is by looking at the three files:
1) The .ir file saved from IR.exe containing the learned signals.
2) The .rmdu file of your upgrade saved from RemoteMaster.
3) The .ir file containing what you loaded into the 8910 when testing that upgrade.
Please upload those files (prefer combined into one .zip) to the diagnosis area

and post the URL for that zip file back here.

Thank you very much for the reply

Unfortunately in Italy we don't have Sky+ yet
My receiver is a Philips SkyBox
Link to the .zip file you request:

Unbelievable
To make correct files i've done all operations (download from remote, saved the .rmdu changing device number (1846 instead 1847), delete learned signals and upload to remote), i test it and it works
So the major problem is solved, but still i can't load Toshiba DVD recorders KM file (not a big problem, i will learn all signals, but Tosh remote has many buttons (i think over 60), and having a preconfigured device will be good)
Do you also have a link where is explained how to use discrete codes? (i've tried to search but too many results)
Thanks for your patience

I've just opened
Toshiba_DVD_Recorders.txt with RM v1.36. It works just fine. The upgrade uses the NEC1 protocol, which is
very common, and is about as simple as it gets as far RM support is concerned.

Updating
Install RM V1.36, downloaded again .txt file for Tosh DVDRecorders and now it seems all ok
I am writing in Italian a description of JP1 power, and also a tutorial, when i complete it may be useful to post here?
Now i've posting the description in various italian forums, many people interested on it, and many people doesn't know what is JP1
Cheers

If you think there will enough demand for it, and if you're willing to be the guy to help out the new comers, I can set up an Italian language forum here.
