Cleaning up learned commands

Hi, I have some noise in IR-decoded commands leaned from my Dish 811 satellite tuner onto my URC9910.
Here's a link to the file. Is it possible to clean these up in IR (can you delete steps of a learned command)? Or is it best to work in KM on an upgrade and then install that? Thanks.

If you're talking about more than one or two commands, creating an upgrade (or adding key moves to an exisiting setup code) would be much better than using the learned signals IMHO.

We never developed any programs for manipulating JP1 learned signals.
We generally suggest creating an upgrade.

There is something like a universe of 42 commands that any Dish/Dishplayer responds to. There are numerous device upgrades including one for the 811. So the short answer is don't re-invent the wheel and use the upgrade. IIRC, it has commands not on the OEM remote like Power Off and Power On. To use that upgrade with your 8910, you MUST do two things:
1. Change the Remote to the "URC-9910" Cell C2
2. Change Unit code to 0, unless you are using a remote address other than the default that is 1 (remote address-1=unit code) (Cell C9)
You must then copy and paste the device upgrade to IR.

Rick is the guy who started
this thread where he tried loading the upgrade and he couldn't get it to work. If anyone has any ideas what he's doing wrong, please post them in the other thread.

That does it. Apparently changing the Unit code to 0 was the big trick. The upgrade for the Dish 811 now works great. You might also note if the question comes up that it may be necessary to change the Protocol name from 'Dish Network' to 'Dish Network Combo' as I had to do to make the OBC codes for PgUp and PgDown work. Thanks a lot.

ps. I was also able to delete contaminated learned buttons with no ill effects. I now have the remote working for the Dish, the HDTV, the Amp, the DVD, and the antique VCR. Cheers.
