IR 6.00 Alpha version available

Mark Pauker, the original author of IR, has been working on a new version that will support remotes like the new URC-9960B01 Kameleon that use the new 5-digit EFCs (or EFC5s). It will also provide better support for remotes like the URC-6131 and Atlas DVR remote that store keymoves in a different way than most other JP1 remotes.
This is still a work in progress and there are likely to be changes daily, but seeing as how URC-9960B01 users don't have anything they can use right now, I convinced Mark that it would be a good idea to share this version now, even though it's still a long way short of being "production ready".

All the Special Protocol Builder stuff is gone. What's up with that?

It's being worked on. Like I said, normally speaking we wouldn't make this version available yet, but as the URC-9960B01 users don't have anything they can use to program their remotes, we're making it available early primarily for them.
While other folks are welcome to try it out, you will find things either missing or not working correctly. We're not looking for bug reports on this stuff yet as we know about most of it already.

Your original post is not clear on this. The assumption is that the pieces associated with 6131 may need some more work, not that current functionality is missing.

It's actually still there in its new form on the Macros tab. As Rob said, there's still elements of the SP stuff being worked on, so some of them don't work properly (or possibly at all).
Being an Alpha, it should NOT be used as a replacement for the current IR release. It was released in an attempt to nail down the new EEPROM format used by some of the newer remotes, namely the 9960-B03+.

My apologies if any clarity was missing from the original post. However, my guess is that most URC-9960B01 users won't regard it as "missing functionality" because the current IR doesn't work with their remotes at all, and once again, just in case it wasn't clear in my original post:
This release is being made available just for URC-9960B01 users.
