Need Pany Device code

Post by fjmet »

From some things I've read on this site, it seems that the TV_0650 device code may have the codes I need for my Pan tv. The 250 and 128 are missing several that i'd like to have. Anyone know where I can find it??

Frank,

I assume you are using setup code TV/0250 for your Panasonic TV and that is Panasonic:128 aka 128.0 (Panasonic Protocol device=128 sub-device = 0). There are a few commands on Panasonic:124.4 that are component inputs and a few aspect commands:

Panasonic:128.0 (TV/0250)
OBC EFC
000 181 Select Tuner
001 185 Discrete Video 1 Input Select
002 183 Discrete Video 2 Input Select
003 187 Discrete Video 3 Input Select
004 180 Discrete Video 4 Input Select
005 184 Input Select (TV/VCR)
122 007 PC/VGA-Plasma Displays and maybe others

Panasonic:128.4
OBC EFC
124 004 Discrete Component 1 Input Select
125 008 Discrete Component 2 Input Select
199 178 HD ASPECT 4x3
176 157 DVI/HDMI
201 049 Discrete Aspect - Zoom
203 051 HD ASPECT JUST
209 113 Discrete Aspect - Full
222 238 Aspect

The easiest way to get the Panasonic:128.4 commands for most remotes would be to do a "no function" upgrade. IN KM Master select your remote, give it a setup code (let's call it TV/1250) and put Protocol=Panasonic, Device 1=128, Device2=4 and don't assign any functions. Then keymove the commands you want from TV/1250.

I am using Panasonic Combo2 128 2. It is the only one I have found with an aspect (238 4) that works. It was called the Panasonic PT-40LC12, although my Pan TV is not an LC.I'll try these codes in it and see if they work. Thanks, Frank

Jon, I tried the codes above in 128 0, 128 2, and 128 4. All worked just great except the 4x3, Just, & Tuner do not work at all. Any ideas??

The only thing (other than trying again, just to make sure) are some work around ideas. Ch+ will normally go to the Tuner mode. Sometimes a channel number(s) plus enter will do the same thing.

Use one of the discrete Aspect commands that works as an "anchor" so a macro for the anchor plus "n" aspect toggles will get to get to the various settings that are missing.
