Remotemaster will not let me download from remote.

New to the forum, I downloaded and set up RM according to the readme. After setup, when I go main part of the program "Download from the attached remote" and "Upload to the attached remote" is greyed out. I verified that the cable drivers were installed correctly.
The cable works correctly in IR.exe, I'm able to download from the remote.
The cable I purchased:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/220928927565?ss ... 1497.l2649
I found that the cable is a prolific usb to serial converter. I downloaded the drivers from prolific that came with a chip version checker. It says "This is a PL-2303 XA / HXA chip.
Also when searching for a solution I found some people saying to set it to jp1.x cable in RM but I don't see an option anywhere to set the cable.
The two remotes I'm trying to use: Atlas OCAP and RCA RCRP05BR
Edit: I looked at the package closer and it is actually the cable sold by diygadget.com. I can't figure out why I can't get it to work on RM.

To set the cable, go to Remote - Interface.

For some reason I'm not seeing interface as an option.
Here is a screenshot:
I'm hoping it is something simple, I just can't figure it out.
Thank you

Hmm... what version does it show in About?

v2.02
Edit: I tried v1.98 and it is the same thing, no option to select interface

In Help About, I see:
RemoteMaster v2.02a
-----------
DecodeIR version 2.44
Interfaces:
JP1.X Serial version 0.19
JP1 USB version 0.031
JP1 Parallel version 0.02
System Properties:
java.version = "1.7.0_21"
java.vendor = "Oracle Corporation"
os.name = "Windows XP"
os.arch = "x86"
Do you also see each of the 3 JP1 entries? Also, rmaster.err contains a lot of messages about the progress of RMIR. Do you see any exceptions, or failures associated with the cable interfaces? If you have any question, upload the err file to the Diagnostics Area, and post a link to it here.

I don't see those entries:
But under rmaster.err I do see it's not loading the dlls:

Is RM IR 32bit only?

I'm not sure how you ended up with RMIR 2.02.
You should be using 2.02a.
From the release notes for 2.02a
* Upgrade to DecodeIR 2.44 (with suppport for 64-bit Java on 64-bit Windows)
* Upgrade to JP12Serial 0.19 (with support for 64-bit Java on 64-bit Windows)

Upgrading to 2.02a fixed it, thank you.

I got caught by the same problem. It turns out that the RemoteMaster webpage has not been updated to point to 2.02a. The link next to "Latest version" on the page
http://controlremote.sourceforge.net/ goes to 2.02 rather than 2.02a.
