Probably to Rob
So what would it take to do a Panasonic Combo version?
Bit 5 setting unllikely to work, and Panasonic has more devices than you can swing a stick at. But let's say we decide to use several Panasonic OBCs that so far hasn't been used and test for the range and repeat the signal via the Parm command?
There might be an alternative of coding VOL functions into a macro and repeat the macro using the scheme made for Dish. But we can't specify number of repeats there if I recall correctly, whereas this NEC1 scheme Rob made permits it.

Try this...
Upgrade protocol 0 = 00 CD (S3C8+) PB v4.01
45 91 32 8B 12 8F 45 08 08 00 DA 00 C6 00 DA 02
7B 90 C9 06 D0 03 54 18 07 37 11 06 E6 0D 07 46
07 01 E4 05 08 B4 06 08 B4 07 08 20 11 8D 01 46
End
To set the repeat flag, add 128 to the sub-device. This time the number of repeats is hard coded in the protocol, it's the red 07, so change it as you need.

Rob,
1. Considering that TheShanMan needs more help, to avoid confusion, could we split the Panasonic posts out of here, please.
2. Thanks for fast action on this. I'm not sure whether you want this to be a replacement for PanasonicCombo or an addition. I decided to try replacement and looks like several of my original buttons worked. But the repeat did not happen, even though the widget sees the correct code (160.128:32 and 33) but just once. And should I see a loop someplace in your code or is that inside the engine?
I'll try making it a separate protocol 01CD perhaps and do a miniupgrade as an addition.

While I still have your protocol as a replacement, I can see the repeater working. BUT sometimes in wrong places, and may even change the hex value. I tried on several. Here's one example
Digital/analog switch 160.0:168 hexEA came out as 160.0:40 hexEB
Level buttons which are HexC2 and hex42 came out C3 and 43.
Thos repeated 7 times, yet
Volume buttons come out with correct hex but don't repeat and some buttons are just perfect.
I doubt you meant me to use as a replacement, so this is just to figure out how to debug.

Rob, it works !!!!!!
I just changed dcbuf+4 to +3
45 91 32 8B 12 8F 45 08 08 00 DA 00 C6 00 DA 02
7B 90 C9 06 D0 03 54 18 06 37 11 06 E6 0D 07 46
06 01 E4 05 08 B4 06 08 B4 07 08 20 11 8D 01 46
I suppose the first one would work with PanasonicCombo2
At this point I have them separated, but now I think it can be just one protocol. Please advise.
Edit 6/2/09: for C7(7800) the last two bytes need to be 01 33 where 01 46 now is.

Rob,
Re: PanasonicCombo
It's now all in one, i.e. I totally replaced 00CD protocol with your version, so no mini-upgrade needed here. ALL buttons work properly on the 4 or 5 subdevices I have and the repeater works its magic.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. You're the best
