Have to press a button twice to change channel

Hi!
I have transferred the remote signals from my URC-7780(set up to my cablebox: Sagem HD104-C) to Remotemaster, which I am going to export as binaries to my slingbox.
The problem is that when I have uploaded the binaries to the slingbox and I am trying to use the virtual remote.
I have to press all keys twice to get it to change a channel.

However, there is no such problem when I use the URC-7780 directly with the cablebox.

Is there a way in Remotemaster or ir8 to make each button repeat the signal when it`s pressed, or make it prolong the signal?

Anyone familiar with this problem?
Thanks!

You're not giving us much to work with here. Can we see your IR file and your RM file please.

Thank you!

pinpoint, the reason that you couldn't post a RAR file here is that most of us don't have the ability to open a RAR file. Do you have the ability to zip this file?

I've uploaded a zipped file now.

Could somebody load a copy of this zip file into the Diagnosis Area folder please, because mediafire is blocked here.

anybody know?
it`s very annoying because it takes ages to change channel this way. and if I do not press it quick enough it won`t change the channel at all.
i beginning to think that it might me something wrong with the IR cable to my slingbox?

I`ve been looking for the remote speed option which was present in the earlier versions of slingplayer but it seems like it has been removed in the newest versions.

It has no device.subdevice entries (should be 135.94), does not contain codes for all of the functions you learned, and the ones that ARE there are not what you learned. I am surprised that your Slingbox does ANYTHING with that upgrade, even with double button presses.
Hate to disagree :-) but I just downloaded the RMDU file and it looks fine, device and subdevice in there, all functions defined and mapped to the correct buttons.

What puzzles me with this is that the device uses the NEC1 protocol, which only sends the data stream once, then it sends a data-less stream for as long as the button is held down.

If two presses of the button are needed to work the button through the Slingbox, that would imply that two repeats of the data stream are needed. BUT... if the upgrade works when loaded into a regular remote, that would imply that only one repeat of the data stream is needed. In other words, pressing the button twice quickly doesn't send the same signal as holding the button down. (The learned signals only show one repeat of the data stream).

There is a little used feature in the NEC executor that allows for the data stream to be sent a couple of times before going into the repeating section, to make this happen bit1 of the parm needs to be set. In this case, the parm defaults to "20" (in hex), so it would need to be changed to "22" to activate this feature.

Therefore, when you have the upgrade loaded into RM, go to the Setup tab and enter 22 in the Parm box (below the Sub-device box), then re-test the upgrade.

You're right. Brain fart.

Thanks!
Putting 22 parameter makes it MUCH better! It`s still abit slow when I`ve been watching a channel for some time and I try to change channel. I have to press a button, nothing happens, but as I`ve pressed the button again all the buttons are responsive and will change the channel exactly as I press. I can live with it as it is now, it`s almost perfect. Thanks again!
