When selecting the RDF directory I get a message "No data found in signature. This indicates that the interface isn't working properly..." The interface pass the jp1xtest.exe test. When downloading from the remote I get the raw data but nothing in the general tab. Any help?
Signature is 10751075
RDF, maps and images are 1.28
IR is IR801

Try using the updated RDF and maps from the
RDF Development Section

Already done, same results. Checked IR 7.15 with same result, I can download raw data but nothing in general tab. Seems that I'm doing something dumb???
Where should be placed the RDF folder? Can I change the name? ...

Where should you be putting the RDFs?
I like to keep my rdf'S in a sperate dirctory/folder. But where ever you keep them you MUST TELL IR8 where they are.
FILE->SET DIRECTORY->RDF PATH.
Can I change the name?
There are very specific rules to naming an RDF, and unless you can read and understand the RDF specs, I'd advise against renaming anything!!! Heck the first time I posted an RDF, I broke RM for everyone that happened to download my RDF. It took weeks for that mess to resolve itself.

When I say changing the name, I mean changing the folder name. But sure this is not the problem.
When I select the RDF folder with FILE->SET DIRECTORY->RDF PATH is when I get the message "No data found in signature...".
My remote is a European URC-7555, perhaps it's a different version. But I think that if the signature is the same of the RDF file, the RDF file should be OK. In the raw tab, I get "Signature: 10751075" so my remote has the same signature as the RDF file.
These are my steps:
1- Connect the interface and remote
2- Run IR801
3- Select JP1.X
4- Check interface - OK
5- Select RDF directory - Wrong message "No data found in signature..."
Thanks for helping me.

When I set my folder to a place where I didn't have my RDF, I got the same message.
Find your directory that has the 10751075 RDF in it, and your problems should clear up.
All these settings are saved in the registry. If your settings are not staying set, perhaps this is a permissions problem.

OK. I've seen too many of these on these fora, so please do not get offended, but I will once again suggest you check your rdf folder selection.
When you go in IR to select the RDF folder, do you DOUBLE-CLICK the folder with all of your RDFs? and then do you see in a dimmer font the list of RDFs appear in the adjacent "Files (*.*)" window? And THEN do you click OK?
It is simply not enough to navigate to that folder and click OK. You have to DOUBLE-CLICK on the folder and then click OK.

No offense, Capn Trips, I was sure it was something dumb from my side. I was clicking the folder and then OK instead of double clicking. Now everything is fine.
Thanks to you, both. Now I have a lot of things to do with my remote...
