There are now three versions of the Delcom driver for JP1 (EEPROM) USB cables in the
file section:
1) This is the 10/19/2006 version from
DIYgadget.com:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=5818
2) This is the 03/03/2007 version that has been in the file section for a while:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=2712
3) This is the 02/12/2008 version, downloaded today from the
Delcom site (where it's labeled 1.0.5001.6):

I think #2 above is probably the best one to use, but if you find that a different one works better for you, please post your results here.
Apparently, none of the drivers work under the 64-bit version of Windows Vista. So, if you are able to make it work, please post how you did it and which driver you used.
Thanks,
Rob

Only 1 vote here, I'd like to see more results to confirm that #2 is the best USB driver to use, and whether there are any situations where one of the other versions is better.

I voted for number 2 simply because that is the one I built with Delcom and still works for me on XP. I have also tested it on Vista and it worked but some people have reported that it does not.

Is the "None of the above" option covered by something?
#2, the one Nils worked on is ok as is the last one from Delcom, but they all miss 8-byte segments willy-nilly when they please like it, unfortunately for me.

Ok. I didn't ask for the right thing

The NONE option isn't sufficient, because computer specs play a big role.
I voted for #2 but they all work on four (by now) old computers, old = over 100 years or something like it, Pentium 3 with USB1, W2K, XP, XP-pro.
NONE of the versions work on my XP, no difference from my long monolog here
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewt ... ght=delcom
BTW, the FTDI drivers that are used for Tommy's IR Widget work great. Certified by Bill Gates himself, unlike Delcom.

Can confirm 64 bit not working for me. Any chance we can get that to go?
No drivers work

None of these drivers work, at all, ever, no matter what. This is how I voted. I have been trying literally for years. Please see my post here:

I just plugged in my delcom JP1 USB Cable, and on my XP machine and I'm running delcom driver 3.1.0.0 Dated May 5, 2005.
I went to DIY and could not find my version, but it seems to be the same as this version.
2) This is the 03/03/2007 version that has been in the file section for a while:
