Actually, you suggested 'jp1xtest', giving all the proof I need that no matter what I name it, people will still screw it up!

Yeah, Rob, I remember the quote, but let's check the chronology, shall we?

And let's include the most recent quote:

I can hang with that, though I think I'd personally prefer jp1xtest as JP1.x has always been the term to generically refer to all flash remotes.
Your final request, to which I agreed, was for 'jp1xtest'. I rest my case, your honor.

I posted jp1xtest.exe 4/15/07 HERE as part of a zipped group of three files named TEST GROUP. Does the fact that it is zipped explain why your search didn't find it?
Despite what Bill said above, I wasn't searching for jp1xtest, I was searching for jp1test and found nothing. Try it yourself, all you will find are these two threads where we're discussing the name for the new JPFST routine.

Bill didn't like jp1test, so he suggested something like jp1ftest, where the "f" stands for "flash". That's when I suggested that jp1xtest would actually make more sense, forgetting that you already have a routine with that name. But I guess that proves that the name does make more sense.

All in all, it doesn't matter to me what the routine is called as I'm not going to need to use it, but I feel I have the best feel for newbies and I know that (a) the current name will scare some of them off and (b) none of them are going to be able to remember it, but hey, it's not my program so it doesn't matter to me. I've given my advice and now I'm going to let the matter drop.

Frankly, "(a)" doesn't concern me and I think I've shown that "(b)" will be the case no matter what I name it.

Sorry if I've touched a nerve, Rob. That isn't and wasn't my intent. :(

Same here.
