I downloaded your file and opened it using IR.exe without any problem. I didn't have to "select" an RDF as IR recognized the remote as being the UniWand. So I'm at a loss as to why you're having problems, and your posts are kind of hard to read so I'm not seeing what I need to in order to try and diagnose your problem further.

ok......I used RM and converted a ust-4500 upgrade that was wrote for a RS remote to 43000B01 specs, Its a Denon protocol and the device code is 0657 (if I remember right)...after upload is complete, the remote wont give me the setup 2 flash device OK ..........but i can download it from the remote and IR says it is there......Im at a loss, ( but I wont give up ).
One question....I never see the protocol string in the upgrade, is that because it already knows it....or is that a problem???
Sorry about confusing everyone......I have a zillion questions about this stuff...I,ll try again early in the morning.

No luck at all..............simply wont control device, uploads to remote, just dont work.

UPDATE.....I Figured it out !!
The problem was, the keys were not mapped correct.
Seems the upgrade in the file section does not work with ALL 4500 IRD's.
Re-mapped every key, per a Motorola doc. and everything mapped right except the Power key......
I can finally use the IRD.
