Interesting, does that mean a US version isn't too far behind?

Ok, things are getting clearer, in just how much I don't understand yet ;)

Out of curiosity, how does one know that in the 2116, DVD/0525 uses 2 byte commands?

Then on to the admonition to create an upgrade...

How do I even start to go about doing that? And what's worse, I don't have room for an ...

You have 2 options:

Option 1: ....
Option 2: Use the appropriate KM upgrade and make sure ALL the functions you may want are defined on the Functions sheet.
Use KM's Key Moves sheet and select "(upgrade)" as the Bound Device, and select the appropriate Bound Key for every function you want a key ...

OK, I assume the file Robman is talking about is the one called "Pioneer_LD_-_DVL_91.txt" in which case that one doesn't work for me. Guide and Menu call up the program and menu but the arrow keys don't work. Pretty much like the standard DVD/0571 behaves. My combi LD/DVD much prefers the DVD/0525 ...

A few things:

1) I managed to figure out I could do without 1 of the Sony VCR upgrades and without Device Specific Macros and that was just enough to shoehorn my basic 7 devices into the 15-2116.

2) Now I'm adding other devices, the first was my Pioneer Combi LD/DVD player and I'm stumped.

2a ...

Lets see, extender 2, replaytv VCR/2000, Onkyo Reciever AMP/1135, Sony VCR/1032 devices 2 and 3 so that's 2 more, Scientific Atlanta 8000 CBL/0677. The combi protocol in the replay and Onkyo help take up the space. After deleting the pause protocol from the extender (I had already removed Device ...

Pioneer Laserdisc question

I have a Pioneer Laserdisk player, a CD/DVD/LD combi, and the radio shack code 0059, which is the only one listed for my 15-2117 doesn't work. I found a code over at the Yahoo site for a Pioneer LD/0023 but am unsure if that would work. Trouble is, I have 8 bytes free in upgrade memory (extender and ...

Oh, that isn't bad, I could live with N/A there. I thought I had to do something special to remove them.

Just to make sure, I could put say a LD Player on device 14 and still use device 1107 to set the LCD display, but when I looked at the key mover tab the only difference I'd see from before ...

Umm, I'm missing something major here. I didn't put them on the db-whatevers, they appeared there 'magically' when I ran the .exe that made the extender. I have no idea how to 'remove' them.

Those devices for the extender don't really need to be on a device so you should be able to change them

Oh boy, is this ever interesting. Trouble is, I have no idea what you mean by that. Change them to what? And how?

I sure feel I'm in the 'little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing' category ...

RS 15-2116 Extender 2 question

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the Beginners Forum, but since its related to the extender, I'm putting it here.

My RS 15-2117 has 15 devices, 8 that go with buttons and 7 phantom ones. After installing the extender 2, I see that a number of the phantom devices are instead extender related ...

KM and 6131 and Device upgrade (Onkyo) help

I tried the built-in device codes for my Onkyo reciever and they don't work very well or at all. I used this device upgrade with my RS 15-2117 and it works great, but when I took the same file, changed the remote to the 6131 from the 15-2117 (or started with the original file, I tried both) the ...

I'm rather new at JP1, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that to shift a number key you need to press the shift key twice. This is because shift and 3 digits are codes to do things, like a keymove and stuff, so you need to let the remote know you really want to shift the key ...

Ok, I think I could follow this setup and info, but I don't have a LDKP protocol, I had to remove it to fit the extender and the devices I needed into my remote. So when the example gets to the spot where it talks about setting up the power key, I'd think I'd want to put the phantom3 (discrete OFF ...
