Well, frankly. I don't use toggle power commands - I have created discretes for those that don't have them with ToadTog - and instead use method #4 described above. "Power" is my "All OFF" macro, and the device buttons are "Discrete ON, Select appropriate inputs" macro.
So if I understand this ...

Seperate on and off buttons onto one toggle button ?
My Harmon/Kardon amp has a seperate button for power off and power on. I would like to program my RCU810 so that the on/off button toggles the power like it does for any of my other devices. From what I have found on the web, this is possible but I have not yet figured out how to approach this. A ...

Re: Basic RCU810 and IR question
I notice that the clock has reset
Unfortunately that is normal.
I think there is some extender or protocol or something you can install to coordinate with an IR.exe feature to fix the clock on one keypress after the reset.
Great, thanks for letting me know. It's not a big deal but I wanted to ...

Basic RCU810 and IR question
I am trying to install an upgrade on my RCU810. When I do an 'upload to remote' in IR I get no error messages and 'verify write' is enabled. This seems to imply that the writes are successful. When I then try to operate the remote, I notice that the clock has reset and the programming seems to have ...

If the pins are soldered in in the regular way, the black plastic part of the 6-pin rests up against the PCB itself, so you won't push them through, but in that case the pins would be sticking through and interfering with the buttons.
If you held the 6-pin so just the tips of the pins were showing ...

(no eeprom, but it could be integrated on the processor) If there's no EEPROM and no space for it (labeled U2?), then the remote is likely NOT a JP1 remote. If the EEPROM is integrated with the CPU, then it's likely a JP1.1 or JP1.2 remote (which we don't support yet).
No, there is no U2, EEPROM ...

Did you read any of the information on how to open up remotes?
LOL ... that would be entirely too simple :) .... but I did have a general clue before I took it apart.
Do you see a small 8-pin IC marked 24C16 or anything close to that? That's the EEPROM, and if there is none it isn't supported by ...

the moto 6412 Phase 3 box is the latest DVR box. I have the previous version (phase 2). the remote that came with mine (that has the swap button on it since both phase 2 and phase3 6412's are dual tuner dvr's) is jp1.2. I've read that the remote coming with the phase 3 boxes is also a jp1.2 remote ...
