Update,

I have been having pretty much the same trouble and error messages with the second remote.
What seems really strange is that I have not been able to download from this second remote yet, but I did manage to program it with one device upgrade file.

OK,

After doing the reset, it downloaded from the remote. :D

I'm still getting error messages when tring to do an uprade to the remote. It seems like I need to keep resetting all the trime :?

I'll keep experimenting.

Have you tried doing a 981 reset on the remote and then doing a download? I don't know what it is about these BJ5 remotes, but you're not the first person to have problems with them. The guys at UEI say that while there has been a firmware change, it should be anything that affects how the data ...

I get either of two messages when downloading from the device. "No data found in signature." or "No definition file could be found for this remote (SAKAS0_^)." .
For people who get the 2nd message (ie, the SAKAS0 message), try this RDF...

Same problem here. Brand new URC-9660/BJ5 from BB. I get the exact same error(s) as related in the first post of this thread. I am using a cable built from a 'standard kit' bought at jp1.filebug.com. The cable works flawlessley with my Cinema7.

If anyone has any insight or ideas, I am more than ...

I'm new to JP1. I've been doing allot of reading.
I just built a JP1 Interface from a kit, and I installed the 6 pin header in a new RCU810, and successfully upgraded the code! :)
