The file section allowed me to upload the file as "guest" without logging in.
Not sure if this is the way you guys/gals want it or not. Kinda figured ...

THANKS! The Creative RM upgrade worked perfectly. No hurry, and very little need to get me any Girder info, so put it at the bottom of your priority list or lower. With the built in software, I really only need the ability to start Winamp and play/nav the all music playlist.

Thanks Zaphod (steve) I'll check out the RM file. I had looked through the device codes for an upgrade, but not the RM files. I've not quite got to adopting the learning curve for using RM. It's time for me to check it out. RM didn't like running on my machine the first go-round, but it appears to ...

Creative Labs Infra (PC-DVD) Remote - URC 8811 not learning?
Hello, another question for the experts here... I've got the following remote:
http://tekgems.com/Products/creative-multimedia-remote-cimr100.htm for which I'm trying to learn a few functions for with my URC 8811.
The 8811 is kind of flaky about learning the signal from the Creative Remote ...

I haven't seen the receiver available seperately online. At this time, you're probably better off purchasing the full-blown Microsoft remote and verifying that everything you want to accomplish on that computer is do-able with the original remote. Then use JP1 to program a universal remote with the ...

Update: Success!
Well, with the new fixed data for KM imported, I was able to learn each of the buttons and assign the correct OBC for each function. As I mentioned in my last post, most of the OBC's for functions on the Dell remote were different than those assigned to the Windows MCE remote.
I was able to map ...

jon_armstrong: Pardon for my naiveté, but I'm not sure what your response means. I assume that you've looked at the subdevice codes and determined that bit 7 is the one that toggles in my Dell remote (which my receiver recognizes).
I guess what I'm unsure of is how this helps me, and what I have to ...

Thanks for the (optimistic!) reply. After a couple of hours of of trying different runs and uploads with IR, I figured that might be what the problem was, and finally decided to post up my issue and "burden" the experts here with tracking down bits for another obscure remote.

Dell Media Center Remote & Receiver - RC6-6-32 Protocol
Hello: I've spent at least a full day's worth of time browsing these forums trying to find a way to program my URC-8811 with JP1 to emulate my Dell PC remote. The Dell PC remote is very similar (but not identical) to the Windows MCE Remote, and appears to use the same bothersome bit toggle protocol ...
