That makes me feel better.
I think I am about to make you feel worse.
Just to be sure we are all on the same [Wiki] page, there are currently two charts on the RemoteChart page:
Popular and Current remotes, which I call the small chart
Original Chart, including older remotes, which I ...

There are lots of current JP1 remotes that aren't oneforall brand (ONN, Insignia, Inteset, OEM cable and TV remotes (Atlas for example), etc.). Even DirecTV remotes are technically JP1-able, but with great difficulty, so do we include those?
My goals are to add obvious omissions to the big list ...

I am still dinking around with my effort to update the JP1 Chart despite my recent silence. My current idea for an update at least passes the test of including the URC-7880.

I have done two things of significance:

1) I have compared the Wiki full chart to what is in the RDF folder and ...

We need to maintain the Original excel table as the master for all time.
Very helpful note! I had been thinking the Original table was superseded by the Current table. With this insight it seems like what I should be doing is to add everything I can find that is missing in the Original table to ...

My impression is that universal remotes in general are fading in popularity and I think this is a long term trend.

was it your intention to put the every remote in history in the popular and current chart?
No! That certainly would make a lie of the title "popular and current".

I am still trying to figure out a good way to organize the Remote Chart wiki page.

The thought I am currently mulling is to add a ...

I think the URC-3661 Essential 6 is the closest readily available European counterpart to the remote Rob mentions but it is a 6 device remote.

The URC-1280 Contour 8 is an 8 device remote that is available in Europe. If I am reading the tea leaves right, this model might be retired soon. It is 14 ...

As best I can tell the URC-8305 OFA 5 Kameleon 3rd Generation European version with a signature of 11221122 is a remote that a few people asked for help with and for which an incomplete RDF is archived. I guess one of the past RemoteChart maintainers was diligent enough to capture such remotes so ...

I've started my attempt at reconciling the current Wiki RemoteChart with the RDFs that come with a standard installation of RMIR. As expected there are quite a few remotes that have RDFs but are not listed in RemoteChart.

What caught me off guard were some entries in RemoteChart for which I don't ...

I have added an updated spreadsheet to the files section that I used to generate the Wiki Remote Chart. I did some minor clean up to the chart but made no substantive changes. I am now in a position to update and modify the chart.

My next planned step is to compare the chart to what is supported ...

I'm thinking we should start a third table on the Remote Chart page. Same format as the current top chart for currently available remotes, meaning available from mainstream retailers. Regrettably I think this will be a pretty short list.

Alternatively, we could add a column for currently available ...
