I've put out the help source files, if you are inclined to update the files.
I'll be happy to update anything that doesn't match any operations/procedures as I execute them. I could also probably carve out some time to help convert the .hlp format to html unless you think otherwise. given the ...

Understanding IR's Abbreviations
As far as I can tell there's no formal reference to IR's menu - i'm only finding help files in a narrative form that work great for quick up and running tasks. But where do i find something that explains things like what an HT transport device is? or VPT? or db-08?
The Help menu has a IR Help entry ...

Link from the sticky is broke
Kudos to the gurus here for their efforts - honestly very much appreciated.
Often when dealing with us newbs you are pointing us to a sticky https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1009 that has a collection of 'Getting Started' articles - again, for the most part, very helpful.

What are the HT settings for?
The Beginner's Guide refers to the VPT device but doesn't include any information about the lines that show up for the 9910:
# Setting Value
1 HT transport device VCR
2 HT volume device RCVR/AMP
3 HT channel device SAT
4 HT menu device SAT
5 HT PIP device TV

Why use different devices
I need a high level explaination of why upgrades seem to define functions for a new device instead of moving buttons on the original.
For example, when one loads the Tivo_Master file the functions are associated with the VCR device. Why place them there instead of the SAT device?

Mapping a Kenwood 1080vr
I have Kenwood 1080VR (the remote is RC-R0805) and have downloaded 'Kenwood 1060VR RCVR.txt' which gives me the starting point.

BTW, if I were trying to find a place to assign the guide function, I would choose the Guide button. I would use the TV/VID button for the Live TV function, and I would put the List function on the Menu button, and Menu function on shift-Menu , just now that I have the List function available, I ...

Using keymove on COMM SKIP button with URC-8910
I've loaded the TiVo Series 2 upgrade to KM. The Buttons sheet shows @ com/skip for function 'guide'. IR's Key Move says VCR | Com/Skip = VCR VCR 0618 150 guide.
But uploading to remote and using com/skip from either device doesn't fire anything.
