Why couldn't you do essentially the same thing by editing the rmir file then, and not lose any comments?
You can, but it is a lot more effort as both the name and signature of the remote occur multiple times in a .rmir file. ...
Thanks guys for the details :)

Is there an easy way to convert a NevoC2 config to ARRX18G?
I want to "clone" the NevoC2 configuration. I have defined macros and activities. I want to make the Arrx18g the primary remote for the room. There does not appear to be a "master" remote specification on the (RMIR) "General" Tab. Instead, the remote is defined on each device definition.

Question about PIDs and Sony Combo (12/15/20)
I used the EZ-RC website to define several devices including a TV (Sony XBR-65HX929). The PID assigned was 00 27. On the Device Update Editor's Setup Tab, there is a note saying: "Protocol has custom code." On the RMIR Devices Tab, the PID is listed as 00 27*, Variant Column, new-Custom. I couldn't ...

How to handle device and OBC values with 8 hex digits?
For example: D21E 50 8E?
I have been able to set up a rmdu for my Onkyo PR-SC886 based upon the configuration EZ-EC established. I added all of the device and OBC values from a spreadsheet sourced from Onkyo (via AVS Forum), circa 2010. The vast majority of the values are 6 digit hex numbers. My ...

Thanks Rob,
I will check those out. I solved my Volume +/- repeat issue. I needed to turn on volume punch through (VPT). On the RMIR General Tab > "Volume Lock" column, set the device that is the Master (in my case TV), and On for those devices that are to use the master. In my case, my PrePro is ...

Thanks for the replies.
It appears that the volume repeat works, as long as the volume button's function is not defined via the alias feature. I tested when the TV and PrePro (Onkyo PR-SC886) were the devices selected. The volume repeat worked.

New RMIR user with a few questions and a deployment plan.
Hi, I'm a new RMIR user. I've been using a PC to program the Sony
AX-1400 series of remotes. In many ways the AX1400 software suite is similar in function to the RMIR suite. Both have controlled device and remote configuration files. They both connect the PC and the remote (RM-AX1400) via a USB ...
