If not here are the drivers I used - you will probably have to remove the device in device manager and be sure to check the uninstall driver box.

Is this the PL2303 cable, says their drivers work with windows 8?
Also there is a later version of the driver on prolifics website.
I remember it being real fiddly to get a pl2303 cable to work with windows 8 a while back.

I have this working now, not ideal but if I add an OK like this:
TV;Power;STB;OK;Power
Its all good!
Is there no way to change the command repetitions or add a pause?
