Rob,

Your spreadsheet has a function "pause or band" at 127-1, OBC 103. On my remote, it is just "pause."

Your spreadsheet has a function "play or memory" at 127-1, OBC 104. On my remote it is "play or band."

I can confirm that the codes in Rob's spreadsheet work in the upgrade Rob previously created for me and those codes properly control my Yamaha TSR 7810/RX V-781 receiver.

Do you need anything more from me?
When I receive the replacement remote from Yamaha, do you want me to donate my spare remote ...

I thank all of you for your courteous advice and assistance.

I have started the process of having the C2 learn all 65 keys on my Yamaha remote. Except, there may be 130 keys. The Yamaha remote has a switch which toggles between "Main" and "Zone 2" for use in a second location. Am I supposed to have ...

I am doing my best to be helpful.

Here are the problems.

I created a new device on my C2. I tried to have that new device learn keys from the Yamaha remote. The overwhelming majority of the keys on the Yamaha remote do not have corresponding keys on the C2. So I used the number keys on the Nevo as ...

I would like to be a "good citizen" of this board and to create an upgrade to share with others.

This is going to take forever. I may have many questions to ask. Please do not lose patience with me.

Thank you for your offer of assistance. I hope this is what you have asked of me.

I have taken a somewhat helpful, existing upgrade (Power, mute and cursor keys work). I have added the 10 most important keys for me by having the C2 learn them from the component's remote. I then downloaded that file ...

Yamaha 7810 audio receiver - need RMDU file

Although I am not technically a beginner, every few years, when I change one of my components, I feel as if I am learning this process all over again.

My new component is a Yamaha 7810 audio receiver, which I understand is the same as the model V781. When I learn keys from the Yamaha remote, the ...

I am the original poster who has just spent hours and hours and hours programming my newly acquired C2. I have been reasonably successful, but I have the following issue.

I have two DirecTV DVRs (DVR 1 and DVR 2) feeding separate HDMI jacks on my AV receiver. I select the video to be fed to my ...

The C2 arrived from China in 10 days.

I am trying to change the registry as you have instructed Windows 8.1 users.

I have downloaded the .zip file, extracted it, and double clicked on the .reg file for the Nevo C2.

I receive a message: "error accessing the registry."

What do I now do?

Thank you.

As you offered, please post an XSight RMIR file that I may study.

I will also read the other links that you have provided.

I found these instructions from you. Are they still current and accurate?

In Internet Explorer on a Windows PC, go to http://www.ez-rc.com/Pages/LogOn/UserLogOn.aspx , create a new account, and connect your remote using the cable. You'll be prompted to download some software (conduit program ...

You persuaded me. I purchased a C2 from your recommended merchant in China.

While I await the two week delivery, please refer me to the best tutorials for the C2, either text or video.

Thank you.

Thank you again for your advice. Let me clarify the setup in case I have caused confusion.

Location #1 and Location #2 refer to the locations of the remote controls, not to the location of the DVRs. The two locations are approximately 25 feet apart.

Both DVRs, an HR-20 and an HR-22 are located ...

I am the original poster. I have just discovered the message thread on DBStalk discussing complexities with the control of two DirecTV DVRs in the same room.

Here is my current setup.

I have two different models of DirecTV HD DVRs in one large room. I need to control those DVRs from two different ...

Thank you for your advice.

From what I have been able to read:

1. The C3 is better than the C2, but no longer available at a reasonable price.
2. The C2 is available at a reasonable price only from China.
3. There are long, long message threads devoted to the programming complexity of the device ...
