@SysTech_Larry,
I also don't really understand your problem...
I'm using my JP1 cable for 20+ years, on 10+ different remotes, I never had any connection issues, neither the cable, nor its housing did not wear out.
And I don't really understand how the RJ11/12 connector came here. It's a completely ...

Re: What Kind of Cable to Buy and Where to Buy It.
The KB article only says "a 2-letter prefix like FT". It appears that the prefix can be any two characters. The serial number of the genuine FTDI chip in my original cable bought from Tommy Tyler is A8003Y5Z. That in my SparkFun breakout board, which I now believe is also genuine, is AQ00YL28 ...

Re: What Kind of Cable to Buy and Where to Buy It.
The serial number of FTDI chips can be overwritten by the FT_PROG utility.
As far as I know genuine IDs start with "FT" followed by 6 alphanumeric characters. See this KB article.

Yes, I know that, but it would be nice to be able to sort the results on the fly.
And another issue, with a search criteria like this: I get 19 results: while there are 4430 files in the Diagnosis Area:

Re: The File Section
The File Section and File Search functions are great, thank you for your efforts!
I'm missing one feature though: the ability to sort the files by any of the attributes in the header (name, area, and especially date).

Re: URC-1240 shifted keys
That was my first clue too, but changing it to "Shift=1" didn't help.
Of course, you're right, removing this entire line solves the problem.
Thank you!

URC-1240 shifted keys
Hi All,
The support for the shifted keys (by "setup" button) in URC-1240 seems to be disappeared in the recent versions of RMIR.
I have an old rmir file for URC-1240 with this macro section (power on/off three devices: SAT, Power, AMP, Power, TV, Power).

Re: RMIR cannot decode learned signals
Thank you all!
I've combined the already successful learnt and decoded signals with Robman's device upgrade, everything is working perfectly!
(I found an issue while transferring the functions to another remote (URC-1240), I will post it in another thread to keep this one clear.)

Re: RMIR cannot decode learned signals
Thank you all for your answers!
In cases like this, it would be way more beneficial for us if we could see the entire rmir file...
I'm sorry, I can't find a way to attach file here, so I've uploaded them to the files section. The learns were performed using URC8350.

RMIR cannot decode learned signals
Hi All,
First of all: Merry Christmas!
I have a new remote, Marantz RC040SR, came with a Marantz NR1510 Ampliflier.
I tried to decode its signals by learning and converting to device upgrade, but some signals cannot be decoded.
