Radio Shack 15-2116/7 Macro Questions

Hey Gang-

Well after a few days of posts I decided to buy a 2117 package at RadioShack for $29.95 and the 2116 did come with the Remote Command Center thanks to those who posted this information.

My question is two fold. 1)With a JP1 cable can I add more than 15 steps for macros and is this the ...

Do the PJ1 remotes need to be modified to be able to plug them into the cable?

Thanks

So a final question since I have pretty much everything else I need, you guys are very thourough and I appreciate it.

I use the Phillips DSR-6000 Direct/Tivo as my primary unit, which remote in your guys opinion would be best based on tivo key needs?

I notice the URC-8011/6011 have two groups of ...

Johnsfine-

It sounds to me like the LCD doesn't really benefit you enough to offset the cost and weight. Does it help with programing or JP1-computer interfacing?

From a few reviews I have read these two remotes are a bit front heavy without the LCD, I would hate to add weight to the front just to ...

Hey Robman-

I will because I realy want to make this decision soon. I am reading about the one-for all 8811 right now. Is there any advantage to the little LCD screens on top of either the 8910 or the 15-2116?

Thanks

I know this is a bit off the original subject but any word on the new Radio Shack 15-2113 aka the Kameleon?

Thanks again for all your help, I won't be spending 100's on my new remote thanks to your help.

Rob-

I started looking at the HTM-500 for its Tivo ease of use. The folks on the tivo forum said its very easy to use compared to other universal remotes. WHen I look at your web site your remotes don't look as easy to use. WHat do you think?

Thanks Guys!

I think I will do more research before I commit. I am shopping in the $100 range and I want something small and easy to use. I am not a huge fan of the big, square lcd type remotes.

Buying a new remote- Home Theater master mx-500 Help

Hey gang-

I was recently surfing around looking on the Tivo forum and I came across the Home Theater Master MX-500 which apparently works well with tivo and feels pretty good.

Why do they sell the mx-500 with the 8811 jp1 remote? Is it because you can program the 8811 and then send the codes to ...
