Nomnom,

You should seriously consider getting a cable. Then you could program your comcast from you PC like you do your harmony. And the JP1 software is much, much better than logitech's. For example, you can drag and drop functions to buttons on an actual image of the remote instead of using ...

You can't map EFC's, then keymove them, you have to it in one operation like so:

1. aux
2. press and hold SETUP for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 4
4. tap SETUP for one blink
5. enter 43065
6. press TV device key
7. press PIP MOVE key

repeat for the other command, and then repeat both for the other ...

Well, let's try. The Gefen upgrade files posted here are for 4 input switches rather than 2. They use RC5 protocol, device 11. Remote buttons 1-4 issue OBC commands 64-67. As a guess, your 2 input switch probably uses OBC 64 and 65.

The Comcast remote has no RC5 protocol with device 11, but it ...

Gefen 2x2 HDMI Switcher with a Comcast Remote

Is it possible for me to control my Gefen 2x2 HDMI Switcher with my Comcast universal remote? (The comcast remote has a black backside, silver front, red ok button, and comcast written in black at the bottom front of the remote).

The specs of the Gefen switcher are as follows:
* Video Amplifier ...

I figured out a work around.

This might be a little dumb since I didn't figure this out sooner.

The digital inputs on the Marantz can be manually designated to different audio modes. I just switched the Digital 2 input from DVD to VCR and viola, I can now control my three digital audio inputs from ...

11060 is NECx1 protocol, and may not provide the correct repeating action when a key is held down.

Anyway, did you try EFC 00022 with 10812?

Genius!!!

Well done. And thank you. The HD Zoom (Enter) button on the remote had no function before in TV mode, so I keymoved 00022 to it. When TV's set ...

thanks a lot for all the help and attention 3FM. I actually already have a Harmony 880, which I never use. :( for shame, I know. I just like the simplicity of the Comcast remote, and I've gotten used to it. It feels right to me. The Harmony is flashy, but frankly I don't want to have to select ...

So sorry,

I actually thought of that just now. Whoops.

10812 and 11060 both worked. The TV/VCR button are able to change the input. The Menu opens the TV's Menu, Info opens Info. Interestingly enough pushing Help opens PIP, which is weird, but nice because I never had a direct button for PIP ...

P.Size for Samsung PN50A550 on a comcast remote

Hey there,

New to these forums but I've already gotten great help from 3FM on programming AUX for my Marantz receiver.

I've already programmed my Comcast remote (silver, red ok button, comcast in black on the bottom, black backside) to work with my Samsung, and it handles power and changing inputs ...

I do have the silver comcast remote (red ok button, comcast in black) and I switched AUX to 21781. Since the vol's, mute, and power still work, I'm just going to keep AUX on 21781. I've already keymoved all the inputs you gave me using the EFCs from above, but the EFC's for Input: DSS and Input: LD ...

Nomnom,
The Marantz receivers all use the same codes, so the inputs I listed above will work with your receiver. In mtman74's 3rd to last post, he gives a link to a zip file that contains all the codes, including those for the SR4500. You can make any of the codes work which don't have an entry in ...

Thank you Vickyg2003,

I searched online for a way to fix my new comcast remote and found everything I needed right here in this thread.

I'm using a Marantz SR4500 receiver (yes, it's old, but it works).

I tested the first four EFC codes you listed (vol up, dwn, power, mute) and after finding that ...
