I was trying to get an upgrade for my LG TV earlier and had downloaded Rob's upgrade earlier, which was working for my TV - Thanks to him for the work.

Since I found these codes, ( I am a novice and it will take me long time to create an upgrade) i just wanted to post them so that others can use it ...

I have two questions on IR8.0 with reference to URC 9910 remote:

What are the DB08 to DB14 on the device tab?

How to modify/change/add/delete the description of the items on the other settings window? I saw My_Extender_1_Remote_5-15-2006 in your file section which had different entries in this ...

Earlier I had all the files for IR.exe in a folder on D drive. Once I moved the folder to c drive I was able to download it in the URC 9910 format.

I had already downloaded RDF.zip files, unzipped it, set the directory in IR.exe. I am able to select the URC 9910 remote also from the file menu.

However, when I download data frm my URC 9910 remote, I get a warning that there is no rdf file for the remote and after the download is done, I have ...

I am new to the forum and need some help.

I just downloaded OFA 9910 using JP1 interface. Where do I find the RDf file for this remote?

While downloading IR8.0 reads this remote as XCPT0CPT , processor as
Samsung S3C8 and interface as JP1.

any advise is welcome.

I had a similar situation and was able to open and repair it. If you drop it, RF is the first thing to stop working since it a seperate module attached to the main board with 4 pin connector and joint at the pins are very weak.

I did open the remote and found that the RF module had broken loose from the connector, in the process damaging the PCB at the terminal

I was able to trace the broken connections and soldered tiny wires upto the connectors and solder them back to the terminals. Now it ...

Never needed to use the RF extender till I bought a new cabinet to house all the devices. It seems that the extender is not communicating with the remote.

Both remote and extender were dropped few times. Is there a way to troubleshoot it?
