@Rob: I uploaded the IR 090127 URC-7780 BEO4 learned keys.ir of the URC-7780 remote with several learned keys of the BEO4 remote.
The learned keys are as follows:

Until now, I didn't find an error in your RDF. The LearnedAddr is ok and the key codes that I used so far for learning are also fine.

Btw, can you tell me how to initiate an 981 reset with the URC-7780 remote?

thank you for your hint. You're right, the BEO4 remote control is a 455kHz high frequency remote.
The TV-0565 code is built in in my URC-7780 remote and I'm actually using it to control my TV set. Since this code is missing some keys (e.g. VTAPE and VTAPE2) I learned these keys and they are ...

I tried the RDF files for the URC-7780 from RDF Files and have still the same error message
"The learned command references an internal burst table, but the index is out of bounds. This could be caused by an incorrect LearnedAddr in the RDF."
and behavior as described in my first post .

Thank you for the hint about the RDF.
I used the RDF of the unextended remote from URC-7780 Extender A1 which is quite new (Dec 28, 2008) and the same as the fixed one that you mentioned except some different key names and the line AdvCodeFormat=HEX instead of AdvCodeFormat=EFC.
