I was asked to research this for a friend's TV, which does not have descrete codes on original ...

Is there a place where there is a list of all JP1 compatible remotes with some info about them (does it require modification, has it been discontinued,where to get, etc.)

Macros run MUCH faster with the extender, so it's not surprising you need to add more delay. You can use the Pause protocol to add a significant delay, or you can try the old VCR record trick ( http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/faq.shtml#1.17 )

Ok, I might have missed a few too many hours of sleep but I cannot figure this out. It works on my 6131's, and worked on my 2104 before extender upgrade. So I installed extender on 2104, and suddenly I have an issue.

The problem is that the FCC tightly controls the RF spectrum. One thing they really frown upon are low-powered multiple frequency transmitters, which is exactly what we're talking about here.

It seems to me that you would not need it to send out on any old frequency, just on frequencies allocated for this sort of thing by FCC. I am sure there is a very limited set ...

Is there such an animal? I heard some pronto versions support RF, but are there any JP1 remotes?

Just to be clear, I am talking about using RF control, not RF extension - as in controlling X10, RF controlled ceiling fans, etc.

Please supply us some more information as it's unlikely that any one here who can help has the exact same TV.

1) Is there a setup code that controls your TV (even partially)
2) If no, Do you have a learning remote and the original remote.
3) If so, please learn as many signals from your original ...

If they exist, does anyone know what they are? I tried the generic ones listed but no luck so far.


Idealy would love to have on/off and direct input selects.
