Re: Issues getting FT232RL JP1.X interface working

Hey 3FG, thank you for the response.

Here's a pic of my interface. Pink-striped wire is 1. I soldered the connections to the GND, TXD, RXD and RTS holes rather than using the header, although I did also verify the GND, TXD and RXD connections on the header are directly connected to the holes I ...

Issues getting FT232RL JP1.X interface working

Hi all,

I just bought this interface board with the intent of making a new JP1.X interface to replace my old 3-transistor one: Amazon FTDI board

Unfortunately, even though it resets the remote (1056B01 Atlas OCAP), I get "Remote not found" from RMIR or JP1XTest.exe. I have checked the wiring ...

Re: irScrutinizer captured signal, and added to upgrade

Thanks for the information! I have been trying to find the Bluetooth code for an Onkyo TX-RZ610, now I know why I wasn't getting anywhere. I'm going to give option 3 a shot. I did find some interesting discrete codes, so I will check the master file to see if they're all in there or if I found ...

Identifying unknown extender???

Hi all,

I have an Atlas OCAP 1056B01 that I programmed years ago and I no longer have a backup of the original .ir file. I believe I loaded and activated an extender because I have macros on the device keys, but when I download from the remote the signature is 30333033 which would imply no extender ...

As of 2018, only Java 8 was supported for Linux per this thread: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=101290

It's possible that limitation is not present anymore and it might work fine with Java 11 now. If that's the case, I don't mean to cause any confusion. I just wanted to share ...

SOLVED: Ubuntu Linux - Remote not found with serial

Hey all,

I was pulling my hair out about this so I thought it might be helpful to post what happened on my Ubuntu system. I have Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS with both Java 11 and Java 8 installed. I was trying to use RMIR v2.12.8 to download from a remote using a serial (not USB) interface I built for JP1.X ...

Cannot access File Section

Hi all,

I was trying to access some files and I am now getting this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '||' (T_BOOLEAN_OR) in /home/robman94/public_html/ofa/forums/pafiledb/includes/functions_pafiledb.php on line 1634

This is coming up when I click File Section or File Search, or when ...

It does not work when I do the keymove on the remote either. The keymove looks the same as when I did it in IR.
It's all right, I accomplished everything through macros so I am all set at this point.
Thanks again!

Hi all,
I realized that code does NOT turn off Sony TVs. It does turn off my Sony receiver, DVD player and VCR. Since the System Off button on Sony remotes does turn off Sony TVs, it must be sending two codes:
1. Sony12 Device=1 OBC=47
2. Sony15 Device=4 OBC=55
This kinda makes sense since this ...

That's what I was afraid of... I'll try the macro approach.

Just for kicks I tried going back to a B00 RDF but nothing improved. Here's the file if it's at all interesting: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6797

Thanks again!

Just tried that... I lose all DVD functionality. The remote does not blink when I hit buttons in AUX1 or SAT modes.

I noticed that the remote had $00DE loaded as an upgrade protocol before I did anything to it... I bought this remote brand-new for my Dad (a long time ago) and he just gave it to me ...

Found Sony System Off code

Hello,
I have an RM-U262 remote (late 90s vintage) which has a System Off button. I found that it turns off all my Sony gear quickly (TV, DVD player, receiver and VCR). Some digging turned up this code on RC: Sony discrete for Pronto
Basically it's Sony15 with Device=4 and OBC=55. You will have to ...
