But my point is that, so far, you've only posted 2 learns that use the 170 device code. All the talk of 2-part signals is based on the 5080 file, but there's no evidence that your unit uses 2-part signals.

To build an upgrade that would be able to handle 2-part signals *and* the 0.134 signals ...

Wow, you've done alot of work trying to get those codes. How come you didn't just learn them from your original remote?

I started by learning them from the original remote -- the point is that I couldn't work with them that way, because upgrades built on them didn't work without the protocol ...

Multiple remotes and toggles

I have two different remotes, because the audio for my system plays CDs/radio in two rooms (or the sound from the TV). The NAD C720BEE receiver that I have has two speaker controls (A and B) that turn the speakers on or off for that room.

I'd like to have a macro control turning everything ...

After a couple go arounds with Pioneer, I have not been able to get the actual IR codes (at least, not in the 2- and 4-byte formats that is available for their other remotes). However, they did send me a Pronto file that they say has the commands for the remote. When I used DecodeCCF, I see that a ...

Wow...lots of activity on this thread while I was gone :)

First, thanks to those who supplied upgrades for me to try. Jim supplied an upgrade that uses the Device Protocol along with Rob's tweaked Protocol for NEC1, and that upgrade works just fine. Rob also supplied an upgrade for the device 0 ...

DSM and URC 9960 B01

I'd like to program a series of device-specific macros (macros on phantom keys accessed via keymoves from each device). As I understand, there are two ways to do that: the DSM protocol, and various ways (new protocols or long key presses) using an extender. At this point I'd like to use DSM since it ...

Here's a Device Combiner Upgrade which I think should work:

(again - I only "auto-assigned" keys, so you'd have to adjust that to your preferences)

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=5034

You need to paste in the protocol upgrade from this upgrade AND the tweaked ...

Here's the official upgrade, it's TV/1457 and it uses the $007E Pioneer protocol.

Thanks Rob! Unfortunately, that upgrade only partially works. It appears that the functions that were originally Device 170 (Power, Volume ...

Ok, you nearly fooled me.

The timings in the second set of learns looked identical to the first set.

I could see no reason Rob's tweaked protocol wouldn't work...

Until I realised you'd set your RM upgrade as DEVICE 134:SUBDEVICE 0

instead of DEVICE:0 SUBDEVICE 134 :twisted:

I'm pretty ...

Yet more progress....

I've uploaded the new protocol supplied by Rob, and now the two signals work. What's more, I went and learned all the signals, and all the signals that use NEC 1 protocol for device 170 work.

But there are a bunch of signals that use NEC 1 protocol on device 0 subdevice 134 ...

This indicates the RDF probably needs to have LearnedDevBtnSwapped=Yes in the [General] section. This is probably causing the learned data to be corrupted as IR is expecting a certain format.

This helped somewhat. Now, after downloading the file from the remote, the device shows up correctly, and ...

One other thing, when dealing with a URC-9960 B01 remote (with it's 4k EEPROM chip), you should always select the "Force >= 4k" option in IR when uploading and downloading.

Yes, I've been doing that for all the data I've posted/discussed on this thread (it's one of the things I discovered I ...

I'm out of town for a few days, but I will try John's suggestions when I am back and post the data -- thanks for the ideas (and thanks Jim for the bump!).

One thing I noticed about the learned signals is that they always say that they apply to the VCR -- that's true of any signal I learn from any ...

They decode just fine for me. Both are NEC1 Protocol, Device 170.
Power = OBC 28
Input = OBC 19

Yes, they decode that way for me too. But it's apparently not correct, as a device upgrade created with that information doesn't work. Is it really usual for the NEC1 protocol not to have a subdevice ...
