John I've also created an Epson EMP710 upgrade that has the arrow keys for the EMP710, EMP820. You might want to try those keys to see if your projector can use that upgrade even though its a different protocol.

Okay, some solid progress to report.

Of the 29 functions in the original ccf file, 19 of them definitely work, 1 definitely doesn't work and the other 9 I cannot test as they are dependent on other functionality that I can't yet access.

Okay, we've had some success. Of the 25 button codes in the file, 9 of them work.

1. Power
2. 4
3. 7
4. Menu
5. Help
6. E-zoom-
7. E-zoom+
8. a/v mute
9. Escape

There's a couple of things I don't understand.
1. If some functions work shouldn't they all work?

If you are not using an extender, you could give these learns a try
