This information is partially outdated (the JP1X schematic is obsolete, there's no up-to-date info on the pin 5 problem, etc.); The designs are not suitable to DIY building (requires professional precision 2-sided PCB and surface mount parts and skills); It was originally published with the intention of inspiring someone to set up and sell them cheaply. A newbie stumbling upon this stuff might be confused or might try to build a JP1X from the schematic, which would fail anytime he used it with a JP1.3 remote.
This doc is here for historical value primarily, has not been, nor will not be maintained, and we don't recommend anyone try to use the outdated information to build interfaces. |
