Setting Up Nakamichi Soundspace 8.5 with Motorola Remote

Hi. I have a Nakamichi Soundspace 8.5 and a Motorola DVR remote that comes with my comcast box. the problem is that when i put in the device code for it, 0321. it doesnt seem to work.

i know that when you plug in the numbers into the remote, it's supposed to blink twice and it does that. but the power button doesnt even work. non of the buttons work.

i've manage to setup my sony tv with the remote as that was much faster. hifi-remote.com has a list of sony EFCs.

what im trying to figure out is that maybe the remote just doesnt have the EFCs for the Soundspace system and taht's why the power button or any other button doesnt work, but hifi-remote doesnt have EFCs for it.

is there any way to find out how to get the EFCs without having to plug EFCs in from 0 to 255?
