This is one of the great hidden capabilities of JP1 remotes which effectively doubles the number of keys. Just about every button can have 2 functions: a primary function when you press the button and a shifted function when you first press and release "Setup" then the button. The Shift column is the place to assign those functions in RM. You can also do it on the Layout tab. For example, you might assign a DVD Eject command to the Shift-Stop button. Press Stop on your remote for the normal Stop function, and Setup-Stop to Eject. The shifted buttons will show up as keymoves in IR.

Shifted buttons are also a great place to assign macros which you don't want interfering with normal button presses. I like to put my power macros on shifted device buttons. For example Setup-DVD would run a macro that turns on my TV, DVD, Receiver and switches sources on the TV and Receiver. Macros are written in IR, not RM. If you do assign a macro to a button, you can always perform the button's original function by first pressing Setup.
