|
|
I'm trying to create a bin file for a slingbox.
I don't have a JP1 remote.
I was able to use a PDA to learn the codes with netremote 2 bit they use a custom CCF format which decodeCCF doesn't understand.
All I was able to get is raw code out of the CCF format but I'm unable to decode them using IR.exe.
What is the next step to get the raw codes decoded?
I'm new to this so I may not do it the right way.
The remote is physically identical with the one from the SV-8000 model.
However the sv-8000 bins I've tried don't work at all
I'll appreciate any pointers
Thanks
here's a sample of the learned raw code
keypad 1
0000 0074 0000 000C 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0CB6
keypad 8

The pronto hex codes you have decodes as RC-5. I'm not sure why you weren't able to get decodeCCF to recognize the codes, since I just used IRTool to decode it (they both uses decodeir.dll to recognize ir formats). The functions you listed matches the upgrade file here:

I wasn't aware of the IrTool program.
I was trying to use Ir.exe.
The sv360 file was posted few days after I checked the directory and started to try creating my own.
File works great.
Thanks for the help
Much appreciated. |

Seems to me i found a link for sonicview-sv360 elite remote, but not the sv-360 premier version. Will the sv-3600 elite remote work for the sv-360 premier?
Please advice?! |

He would have created one using the RM file that was linked to earlier. _________________ Rob

Ok, so i used the EMdu file on the link above and used the remote master to open the file up. Under Remote when i uploaded the file on the link that you provided, the default remote comes up as URC-881x. I guess wazzup was trying to use another remote to control his Sonic view sv-360 reciever because my understanding is that if i'm to use this remote for my sling player, i should choose,..Slingbox with UEI JU chip, right?
Well i chose this particular sling box, changed the setup code. , then exported the binary key andsavedit to my SBAV file. I tried controlling the sling player but there was no response!
Now , let me add that because you already proided the RMdu link for the SV-360 i didn;tgo through the process of using IR.exe to configure the remote through a JP1 remotecontrol. I merely jumped to the Remote master section and changed the remote name to slingbox.
Does this make a difference?
Please advice! |

You are correct, you don't need to use IR.exe when programming a Slingbox.
I don't have any URC-8910 remotes for sale at this time. _________________ Rob

Best guess is that you didn't change the selected remote to one of the Slingboxes. You mentioned the JU box earlier, are you sure that this is the type of SB that you have? If you got one of the first boxes made, then it probably is a JU but if you got it somewhat later than that, you probably have a PL. _________________ Rob

Thing is, i dont see a sling box PL on the remote master.
If that is the case, is there a newere version of remote master or rdf files available that i need to transport on to the remotemaster, so this will work? |

The remotes that you see in the drop down in RM correspond exactly to the RDFs that you have downloaded. I can't say whether you have the most current set of RDFs as I don't know what set you have, but when in doubt, download the current set. _________________ Rob
