5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? n/a
I am looking to create a .rid file to import into my Replay to record from this device. I am amazed how good the Replay records HD from this box, I guess DTV's SD Signal has been downgraded quite a bit (to recoup bandwith) as my replay only records SD, but the picture quality is so incredibly good when I played back the recorded HD signal everyone in my house commented on how it almost looked like HD on my SXRD 60" tv.
I have imported the D10 codes via flipflops iso cd but they don't change the channel
I am a total noob when it comes to IR stuff so I have been reading all sorts of posts but its still very murky stuff...

Honestly, I'm a total noob in regards to RID files. As I understand the listing for the DirecTV D10 in the Replay RID Files should also work for the H21-100 but it is probably tied to address 1 which is default for most DirecTV receivers. Since the remote pairing address can range from one through eight, I decided to give my hand at creating them for you. However, I've never heard of a RID file before or have tried this before, so please keep that in mind.
I created the files using the instructions from the, "Adding IR Blaster codes to ReplayTV" thread and the DirecTV D1x, H2x, HR2x, R1x and R2x series (addr 1-8) upgrade files from mdavej. Since there wasn't a DirecTV.irp file that RIDgen could use, I specified Russound as per the DecodeIR info for the DirecTV protocol.Frankly, I don't understand how this works. The RIDgen program only allows for the zero through nine, enter, and power EFC/OBCs, so I'm not sure how it extrapolates (if it does) the rest of the IR commands. Hope it helps. Good luck! _________________ Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.) |
