I'm trying to program my One for All 8910 remote with the codes from my Popcorn Hour remote. I had my remote learn the codes for the major key that I wanted. I then entered the the 3-digit efc codes into key-map master in the functions menu. In the setup menu I entered the following:
Remote:URC 9910 /8910 remote
Device Type: Video Acc
Setup Code: 1408
Using Extender: No
Protocol Name: NEC1
Main Device: 4
Sub Device: 203
Parm: 20

I then pasted the device upgrade code into IR.exe by going to the device menu and adding a device. I then went back to the General Screen in IR.exe to change Aux button to 1408 code. I then uploaded the results to my OFA 8910 remote. I then tried to use the remote on my Popcorn Hour device, but nothing worked. Could someone tell me what I could be doing wrong? Thanks for any help in advance.

Did you also fill in the Buttons sheet in KM? Go ahead and upload your IR file with the learned codes, the IR file with your upgrade and the KM file to the diagnonsis area.

mdavej,

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. You solved my problem. I went to the buttons sheet and although some of the keys were picked up from the functions sheet, not the directional keys (up, down, left, right, etc) were not.
Everything works great now. Thanks again!!!

Did you assign the functions to the appropriate buttons on the Buttons tab?

Did you set the device type for the AUX button to VIDACC?

Unless you post your KM file and IR file to the diagnosis area so we can look at them, all we can do is guess at what you did wrong.

Great. How about posting the KM file to the files area so others can use and expand upon it. Digital STBs would be a good place.

Oh, hell. I broke down and captured the PCH remote. Setup for 8811 and KM posted to Digital STB as "Popcorn Hour A-100".

Extremely straightforward capture. NEC1. Using setup code of 1227 (4CDh NEC1 code, in decimal).

JP1 Etiquette Tip: Any time you upload a file and mention it in a post, please provide a link to the file, not just the name of the folder and file.

In case anyone finds this thread...

See this thread at the Popcorn Hour webiste,

and, just in case the previous thread is ever taken down, see this image which shows remote layout and gives other information.

And here's a picture of the actual remote, so you can see what the button names are:
