I only captured a few keys as it's clear we weren't getting anywhere.

When you see the "gap" decodes, it usually means that it's a protocol that we haven't seen before, in which case we'd like to see as many samples as possible. So I would recommend learning as many buttons as you can and then re-post the file. Also, verify that each of the learns actually work before posting the file as sometimes there will be bad learns in there. _________________ Rob

Here's what I got from the posted signals...
freq: 38kHz
0 = +350 -400
1 = +350 -1400
leadin: +3600 -1800
leadout: +350 -50750
Here's the binary:

The off time for each 8th bit is about 100 us longer than the normal zero bit. Hopefully the receiver isn't sensitive enough to actually require that it be that way, because if it is it would make the code to generate the signal more complicated.
There are 2 variable bytes in this signal and I suspect that the 2nd to last byte is actually a checksum, but I'd need to see more samples in order to try and find a pattern. _________________ Rob

I don't have time to look closely, but from what was posted here I think this means some manufacturer is using Kaseikyo protocol with a different checksum rule than any I have included in DecodeIr.dll
On some signals this checksum rule happens to accidentally match the generic Kaseikyo checksum rule and gives a Kaseikyo decode. In most signals it doesn't match and gives a Gap decode.
Note the misc column in the decode (which you might need to adjust column widths to see) gives you the hex values, so manually decoding the binary shouldn't be needed.
If Rob had enough samples to deduce the checksum rules, it should be pretty easy to modify one of the existing Kaseikyo protocol executors to use a different checksum rule.
I don't think the receiver could care about that minor timing anomoly Rob mentioned. I expect it is an accident caused by careless coding of the firmware in the original remote. |

Does that mean that there are still buttons that you didn't include? If so, what you need to do is clear out the learning memory and learn the rest of them, then load a 2nd IR file (and a 3rd, etc, if needed). _________________ Rob

This signal appears to be the standard $00F8 protocol (which we normally call Sharp DVD).
Try this upgrade...
